CARTAGENA

Cartagena, COLOMBIA - this port city on the country's northern coast differs vastly from Colombia's interior cities as it served an important role in the expansion of the Spanish empire. This is where Spanish, Caribbean, and Colombian worlds meet. We finished our adventure here for a little R&R and unexpectedly found world class cuisine. Our [...]

MEDELLIN

MEDELLIN

Medellin - COLOMBIA - has always been on our list, despite the success around Netflix hit, Narcos. When Los Cafeteros won against Senegal in the World Cup, we decided it was finally time to book tickets....thanks to a large intake of aguardiente and our friend's endorsement for the "City of Eternal Spring".

BERLIN

BERLIN

Berlin, GERMANY - serving as the capital of Germany and second most populous city in the European Union. Just 28 years ago, the city was divided into West and East Berlin (crazy to think I was born just 4 days before the fall of the Berlin Wall), so we decided that the city deserved more time for us to explore given it's recent history...and rebirth.

IGUAZU FALLS

IGUAZU FALLS

Iguazu Falls, ARGENTINA + BRAZIL - named one of the seven natural wonders of the world, Iguazu Falls is located on the borders of Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay. They say "Argentina has the show, but Brazil has the views" so we spent one day touring each side. This pit stop quickly became the highlight of our trip!

RIO DE JANEIRO

RIO DE JANEIRO

Rio de Janeiro, BRAZIL - land of samba and caipirinhas! This seaside city has been on my bucket list even before I studied Portuguese in college. When we discovered a nonstop flight back to Houston (and on points!), we bought our tickets and never looked back.

ANTIGUA

ANTIGUA

Antigua, GUATEMALA -  Ok, I admit it. Guatemala never truly hit my travel radar. That changed after seeing photos from a family friend who went to Antigua on holiday (thanks, Casey!)...and I knew I was missing out. So when it was time for my good friend, Dorina, and I to take our annual trip, we decided to go off the beaten path.
